 안녕하십니까?

 토론실 사이트 대표 이민섭입니다. 

 경희대학교 서울캠퍼스 의회식 영어토론동아리 IDS가 주최하는 전국 대학교 신인선수 영어토론대회 ( https://www.facebook.com/IDSKRT ) 조직위원회 측으로부터 게시물 이용 허락을 받고 출처를 밝힌 후 관련 이미지나 글을 퍼왔습니다. 

 해당 대회는 2022년 9월 24일(토), 25일(일)에 2일간 개최되었습니다. 대회는 끝났으나 대회 홍보 및 토론 문화 확산 차원에서 신경쓰지 않고 올립니다.

 이 대회는 대회 주최 측에서 인정하는 주요 토론 대회에서 토론자(선수) 수상 경력 기준으로 신인으로 분류되는 사람들이 토론자(선수)로 참가 가능한 대학 간 대항전입니다. 하지만 영어 토론 문화 확산 및 관련 정보 공유 차원에서 이 글을 올립니다.

[ Policy Updated ] Debater Eligibility - School-level tournament breaks 

Dear participants, 

There have been changes to the rookie standard in tournament policy.

1) Clause B - Condition B.2

Anyone who has not been a member of the WSDC national team (excluding all school-level tournaments)

The original clause included school-level tournaments to affect the rookie status. However, considering that not a lot of school-level tournaments in Korea adopt the British Parliamentary format, and given that we do not let novice breaks of intervarsity level tournaments affect the rookie status, we decided it would be fair to exclude all school-level tournament achievements in considering eligibility to participate in this tournament.

The above changes are to ensure the balance between an increase in participation and for rookie debaters to have a meaningful starting experience of their debate career. All links to the previous policy are updated. Also, please note that judge registration is left for 2 days until the due date.
